The Boys Basketball Team opened their season this evening with a win over the Desoto Dragons by a final score of 70-42. The boys will be in action again tomorrow evening at 7:00 p.m. Way to go!
SG R-II: You're invited! Tonight at 6 p.m. at The Orris: “The One-Room Schoolhouse: The Start of Rural Education in SG County” presented by Tom Greminger. 70+ one-room schoolhouses once dotted SG—come hear the story of how they shaped early public education.
District sites have been selected for SGHS winter sports. Boys Wrestling will be at Ste. Genevieve. Girls Wrestling will be at DeSoto. Girls Basketball will be at PH Central. Boys Basketball will be at Potosi.
Varsity Girls Basketball falls 50-13 to Potosi in the first game of the season. The girls will play again on Thursday at DeSoto at 5:30.
Middle school boys and girls basketball, high school girls basketball, and freshman wrestling are all on as scheduled this evening. Same start times and bus times.
From SG R-II: Due to winter weather conditions and an abundance of caution for the safety of our students, there will be no school today, Tuesday, December 2nd. This will be our 1st of 2 traditional snow days, and we ask that students remain safe and enjoy their time off.

The DeSoto Basketball tournament is canceled for today. Everything is getting pushed back one day. So, the girls will play tomorrow at 5:30 and the boys will play Wednesday at 4:00 PM.

On Tuesday, November 18th, the Ste. Genevieve High School Principal’s Advisory Group traveled to Rolla High School for a student leadership visit. The group anticipated touring the building and learning about the initiatives Rolla uses to promote school spirit and student involvement. Upon arrival, Rolla’s Assistant Principal and student leaders greeted the SGHS representatives with warm hospitality.
The visit began with meaningful, student-led conversations focused on school clubs, fundraisers, building decorations, and strategies used to strengthen school culture. Rolla’s students shared a variety of activities and ideas that could serve as inspiration for future programming at Ste. Genevieve High School.
Following the discussion, Rolla’s student leaders provided guided tours of their significantly larger campus, offering insight into the layout, programs, and structures that support student engagement. The experience generated numerous ideas and sparked ongoing conversations within the Principal’s Advisory Group, conversations that may help shape future Dragon traditions.
Thank you to Rolla High School for the warm welcome and for sharing such valuable leadership experiences.

Monday, November 17th, is the Fall Sports Banquet at 6:00 pm for HS Football, Cheer, and Emeralds Dance. The banquet will be held in the High School Cafeteria.
